A curated community
for boat owners and water lovers
in Amsterdam.
Amsterdam is built on water.
Yet until recently, there was no community truly shaped by it.
Marée Circle brings together boat owners and water lovers through gatherings that feel cultural, intentional, and social.
From canal evenings to island escapes only reachable by boat.
This is more than events.
It’s a circle shaped by water.
"Around a dinner table, silence can feel awkward.
On a boat, the same silence feels comfortable."Marina · Founder
“I’m Marina, and maybe with a name like that, water was always meant to shape me.
Marée didn’t start as a business — it started as a way of living. For years, my partner Jakob and I restored old boats, making them electric and quiet.
Being out on the water, we discovered just how different Amsterdam feels: calmer, softer, almost like it belonged to us.
Yet everyone seemed to stay in their own circle. Quick glances as boats passed. No real community.
Marée Circle is my way of changing that. It’s the rhythm we found — and now, we want to share it.”

Our partnership with Constantin Nautics celebrates craftsmanship and connection.
Their bracelets, made from recycled sailing ropes are sustainable and carry a story.
They symbolized more than just a gift, they represented belonging, connection, and the shared rhythm of our community.
Not at all! Marée Circle is for anyone who feels connected to Amsterdam’s water: boat owner or not. Our events are open to everyone who wants to experience the city from a fresh perspective.
We value curiosity, openness, and a genuine passion for life on the water. We look for individuals who want to contribute to a welcoming, engaged community and who are excited to discover Amsterdam from a new perspective
